I have 30 years of experience working with medical / therapuetic diets and provide the following evidence based services:

I am a Registered Dietitian / Clinical Nutritionist, based on the Isle of Man. (Qualified Glasgow 1986). In my last NHS clinical role, before returning to the island in 2006, I was Chief Dietitian at The John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. I have worked within a number of specialist areas over the years, including intensive care, coronary care, renal medicine, liver medicine, diabetes, gastroenterology, rhuematology, urology, oncology, weight management, mental health, and so on. I am qualified to advise on ANY aspects of nutrition and dietetic care. My specialist areas are diabetes, gut disorders and gluten free diets, (coeliac disease and NCGS).
I like to use evidence based treatments only; not fad diets or quick fixes. I also have a keen interest in Integrative and Functional medicine.
I am a full member of the BDA, (The Association of UK Dietitians). BDA Membership number: 2791. I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council: Registration number: DT03980, and carry full professional insurance.
Registered Dietitians (and doctors) are the only health professionals who are LEGALLY allowed to diagnose and treat someone with a medical diet such as e.g. Gluten Free, Diabetic, Low salt, and so on.
